ATIΣ(ATIS) 210 (LF) : Συλλογή των αρχείων Σύρου . Πέντε περίοδοι Ιησουιτών υπάρχουν στο νησί της Σύρου. Το παλαιότερο χειρόγραφο χρονολογείται στο 1358. Μπορούμε να βρούμε μία ποικιλία εγγράφων διοικητικού, οικονομικού, θρησκευτικού και προσωπικού χαρακτήρα σχετίζονται με τη γερμανική και ιταλική κατοχή στη Σύρο και την Ελλάδα. Collection of Syros (ATIS) 210 (LF). Five periods of Jesuits present on the island of Syros. The oldest manuscript dates 1358. A variety of documents of an administrative, financial, religious and personal nature are related to the German and Italian occupation in the island of Syros and Greece.

ΑΤΙΤ: Συλλογή Τήνου (ATIT) 118,2 (LF). Χρονολογείται από το 1670 όταν ιδρύθηκε το πρώτο μοναστήρι Ιησουιτών. Μπορούμε να βρούμε μια ποικιλία εγγράφων διοικητικού, οικονομικού, θρησκευτικού και προσωπικού χαρακτήρα σχετίζονται με τη γερμανική και ιταλική κατοχή στο νησί της Τήνου και της Ελλάδας.

Αρχείο Μάρκου Β. Σιγάλα
Όταν ο Μάρκος Β. Σιγάλας ήταν Αποστολικός διαχειριστής Καθολικής Επισκοπής Θήρας, (1942-1947) βίωσε μαζί με τους Καθολικούς της Σαντορίνης, καθώς και με τους υπόλοιπους κατοίκους του νησιού, τα πολλά προβλήματα που προέκυψαν από την Ιταλική κατοχή πρώτα (1941-1943) , τη Γερμανική στη συνέχεια (1943-1944). Κυρίως προσπάθησε να εξασφαλίσει στο εκκλησιαστικό προσωπικό και τους λοιπούς Καθολικούς του νησιού τα αναγκαία μέσα διατροφής σε μια περίοδο γενικευμένου λιμού στην Ελλάδα και να τους εμψυχώσει με το κήρυγμά του να υποφέρουν με χριστιανική εγκαρτέρηση τη δοκιμασία.

When F. Markos V. Sigalas was the Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Santorin, (1942-1947) faced with the catholics and the rest inhabitants of the island, the many problems that arose during the Italian (1941-1943) and German (1943-1944) occupation. He mostly tried to provide at the church and the other Catholics food in a period of generalized famine in Greece and to animate them with his preaching. (file H / 2)

Ο Αντώνιος Β. Σιγάλας, καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, συμμερίστηκε τις ανησυχίες αλλά και τα οράματα φοιτητών της πόλης που ήθελαν στα κρίσιμα χρόνια της Γερμανικής Κατοχής (1941-1944) να διατηρήσουν το εθνικό και αγωνιστικό πνεύμα τους, ενώ συγχρόνως βοήθησε συνανθρώπους του που δοκιμάζονταν. Αυτή η δράση του κρίθηκε ότι είχε «αριστερή» χροιά και μέσα στο αντικομμουνιστικό παραλήρημα που ακολούθησε την ήττα της Αριστεράς στα Δεκεμβριανά του 1944, οι τότε κρατούντες επιχείρησαν κάθαρση των υπηρεσιών του ευρύτερου δημόσιου τομέα από όσους θεωρήθηκε ότι δεν ήταν, με τα δικά
τους κριτήρια, καθαροί εθνικόφρονες. Κάποιοι καθηγητές στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης που στη διάρκεια της Κατοχής έμειναν σιωπηλοί μπροστά στα όσυγκλονιστικά συνέβαιναν και μερικοί από αυτούς είχαν φιλικές σχέσεις με τους
Γερμανούς και τους Έλληνες συνεργάτες τους, θα πρωτοστατήσουν στο να εκδιωχθούν από το Πανεπιστήμιο όσοι θεωρήθηκαν ύποπτοι εθνικοφροσύνης λόγω της στάσης τους στην Κατοχή. Ένας από αυτούς ήταν ο Αντώνιος Σιγάλας. Αργότερα
του ζητήθηκε δήλωση νομιμοφροσύνης για να επανέλθει στη θέση του, αλλά απάντησε αρνητικά με το επιχείρημα ότι δεν θα ομολογήσει ότι έβλαψε την πατρίδα του για να κερδίσει πάλι τη θέση του, αλλά περιμένει την αποκατάσταση
της αλήθειας.

Antonios V. Sigalas, ex-catholic priest and later professor of history at the University of Thessaloniki, shared the concerns and visions of his students who wanted to resist in the critical years of the German Occupation (1941-1944). From his archives we have plenty of letters, brochures, photos, posters, correspondence related to this tragic period of global history. (in the process of documentation)
